Artist Statement
- Paula Ann Ford
- In the Mountains West of Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States
- Landscapes are my chosen subjects because I have always been amazed at the way nature arranges its compositions into scenes that capture my imagination and stay in my memories. Therefore, my paintings become keepsakes of places from our journeys. They represent happy times and peaceful daydreams experienced as they have permeated our senses through the memories of fresh mountain breezes, fragrant wild flowers, and the changing seasons. And so, as the historian records past events, so shall I record the ever changing landscapes of our time and leave souvenirs for all to be reminded of the places visited in our travels.

I see beautiful landscapes through the eyes of a child...pure, innocent, loving, peaceful, breathtaking. The places I create are free of fear and harm and are places to sit, dream, contemplate, and smell the fresh air. These places are made for you to lay out a blanket and just daydream the day away, or just walk through with no cares. There is only love in them because love created them. With love, Paula (P.S.
