Still Standing (and a problem solved)

I started this late last night because the reference photo is much different than anything I've done. It's almost done. Some more work has to be done to the tops of the trees and sky. 11"x14" on Uart 400 grit.

Please excuse those little little prongs holding my painting. They are the things I solved a problem with my new easel. Easels are really made for holding canvases, which are thick, and not for holding thin boards like gatorboard or foamboard. So, I started thinking how I could get the board flush with the end of those lips. It dawned on me if I took my pointdriver and drove points in the ends of the wood, it would solve the problem. It did!

Love the painting.
The prongs worked I see. I will have to try that.

This is a great piece. Like the use of the complements.

Sweet painting of a bygone era. Colors are lovely.
