Another "Dreaming of Summer" mini - SOLD

It just seems like it's never going to get warm out again. A couple of days ago it was 70 degrees and now, and throughout the rest of the week it's supposed to be cold and gloomy again. Here is a little piece I did this afternoon. 5x7 on Uart bonded to gatorboard.

Almost Spring UPDATED

After much work and a better photo, here is Almost Spring.  Inspired by a couple of photos I took in Old Forge, NY.  It is 14"x18" on Ampersand pastelbord.  I painted something similar in my 30/30 series and loved it.  So I wanted a much larger version.

30 in 30 for $30 - #30 Pines overlooking Old Forge Pond

To finish my 30/30 series I've painted a little piece of my favorite place in the whole world... Old Forge, NY. As soon as it warms up, I'm headed north to visit my big brother, Woody, and to visit Old Forge and will take tons of photos that will inspire lots of future paintings. Thank you all for being with me on this journey and thank you so much for all your purchases!! I appreciate your support!

30 in 30 for $30 - #28 - Winter Birch - SOLD

I took this photo a couple of winters ago a bit north of Old Forge, NY.  This beautiful crooked birch tree looked like it was curtsying over the bank as if to say hello.  I've been wanting to paint it for so long now.   5x7 on Ampersand Pastelbord.

30 in 30 for $30 - #27 - Jasper Trees - SOLD

This is inspired by a photo I took in Jasper, TN, where I live.  You can see the photo in the February Landscape Challenge (I'm hosting this month) on Wetcanvas.  You will see that the painting is SO different than the photo.  My mind wandered really, really far!!!  LOL...  5x7 on Ampersand Pastelbord.

30 in 30 for $30 - #25 Green Barn at Holland Farm - SOLD

This is a beautiful old barn here in Jasper, TN.  Unfortunately, I heard they are going to destroy this whole area to put up more useless buildings and pavement, when just down the road stands empty buildings and existing useable property.   My heart is saddened by this criminal destruction of our beautiful land.

30 in 30 for $30 - #23 - An Out West Autumn

I've painted this scene a half a dozen times and have loved each one.  The reason I painted it this time is because I'm teaching a workshop this weekend for the Benton County Library and this is what we will be painting... a nice simple little scene.

I had the opportunity to purchase all the supplies that the students will use and I chose 18 different colors of Mount Visions, so therefore, this painting is the result of the 18 different colors.  It just needs a few finishing touches and it will be done.  5x7 on Ampersand Pastelbord.

8"x20" Dreaming of Summer

In my 30/30 series, I painted a much smaller version of this.  This one is 8"x20" on Uart.  Dreaming of summer because there is still snow on the ground and it has been, what seems to be, the longest winter.

30 in 30 for $30 - #22 - Blue Mountain in Shadow

I love the reference photo of this.  It's one that I will paint again and again!  As a matter of face, probably by next week I'll do a larger version of this.  This one is 5x7 on Uart.
