Tennessee Turnip Fields

Another photo taken from last week's plein air day. An old farm lady came out while we were taking photos and told us all the yellow flowers in the fields were wild turnips.  Whatever they were, they were so beautiful on this gorgeous spring day!!  11"x14" on Ampersand Pastelbord.

Here is the final piece after changing the sky to a lighter color, and adding soft clouds.  It's done!

1st Plein Air Trip in 2010

Linda and I went to our favorite plein air spot. This was the first time we've been out since last Fall, and this was where our last trip was too. Here are a few photos of our trip (which is just a couple of miles from our homes in Jasper, TN)
