©2011 Paula Ann Ford, Sprout at Maple Ridge 6"x8"

I am SO excited!  This is one of my favorite spots in Old Forge, NY!  I have at least 100 photos of Maple Ridge, the original ski hill.  This hill is beautiful in every season.

Secret Place

It feels so good to sit and paint, taking my time, relaxing, enjoying the process.  Here is a piece I started tonight.  I've been trying for years to paint this in pastels, but was never successful.

Somewhere in Upstate NY

This is a little piece I did tonight as I was trying to watch our new kitty.  He has just been fixed and his hormones are still raging so I have to watch his every step or he will spray all over in our home.  Yuck!!

Road to Collegiate Peaks

This was inspired by a photo taken by Steve Garufi, the Colorado Guy.  He kindly gave me permission to paint it.  He lives in Buena Vista, Colorado and takes photos on a daily basis because he loves where he lives so much!  He is currently biking across America!  Have fun Steve!!!  Thank you!!

Dandelion Dance II - SOLD

I've done this one before in pastels and just had the urge to paint it in oils.

This was an early morning scene that I saw as I walked out onto my front deck one morning.  The sun was strong, casting long shadows and it lit up the fluffy white dandelions.
